Deceptively challenging, our 9 hole course has amazing views of Quartermaster Harbor, with snow-capped Olympic Mountains as its backdrop. Tee boxes are placed for an 18 hole layout you will love, and perhaps occasionally hate. The course was designed by H.D. Williams and opened in 1927. There are rolling fairways and lots of changes of elevation. The greens are well contoured and fast paced placing a premium on shot-making and a reliable short game. It is par 70 that measures 5,900 yards from the blue/white tees with a rating and slope of 68.0/120 and 5,400 from the red/yellow tees with a rating and slope of 71.0/119. There is a putting green and netted practice area; and pull carts and rental clubs at the Pro Shop.
Business League starts the last Tuesday in May and runs for 12 weeks. The teams are comprised of players associated with various Island businesses or civic groups. The cost for entering a team into business league is $300. Players who are not members of the club pay a $20 green fee each week.
Men’s and Women’s clubs. When you become a member you can join the G.H.I.N. handicap system for $35 and start turning in scores to establish your handicap. Once you have turned in at least 10 scores you will have an established handicap and are eligible to play in club competitions. Both the mens and womens clubs have a monthly scramble that does not require a handicap. The men play the second Friday of every month and the women play the second Thursday of every month. These scramble events are open to all members and are a great way to get aquainted and is usually followed by dinner and a monthly meeting.
Twilight Couples Golf. During the summer — usually June thru October — Wednesday night is couples Twilight golf. This is a fun, 9 hole completion. If you don’t yet have a handicap we will make one up for you. This is not serious competition, rather a fun social event and another great way to meet other members. The game usually kicks off at 5:00. To enter simply sign up in the golf shop at least by 4:30 that day.
